Disrupt the Thought

Metaphysics is a tricky thing. It is filled with contrary ideas, terms, and battling concepts. There is truth in all of it though, and it all comes down to your personal understanding combined with your application of the concepts.

The idea of disruption is rude if you are referring to interrupting a conversation. But when you mindfully and consciously interrupt a life-limiting idea just as it is beginning to sprout, there is no greater service that you do for yourself or another. I’ll that explain more in the next paragraph. Let’s be clear, I am not suggesting that you interrupt your feelings. Feelings must always be felt. Feelings must be felt and be expressed to free the energy captured within them. These feelings might require some processing or be heard by an experienced listener – one who knows how to hold sacred space. With this kind of loving listening, you as the speaker can feel free to release the stuck energy.

But the disruption that I am referring to is this. When you feel something rising inside that causes you to be afraid or worry, disrupt the feeling at once – not by denying but by facing it and questioning it. Turn to the feeling and inquire – what do I need to know? What caused this feeling? What message have I missed that generated this feeling? Every time you do this, you take back your power over the worry, the fear, the concern. You might be called to heal something, to do something differently, and in truth, if it is physical, you might be called to take healthy actions on your behalf. When you listen, acknowledge, and honor what’s coming up, you are empowered to make change wisely. This is a healthy disruption.

Disruption can also take place when you are speaking to a friend who is beginning to worry and be fearful. You do not want to deny their feelings – this would be counterproductive. If they trust you, all you have to do is to prod their intelligence buy asking them questions of inquiry such as:

·         What just happened that caused this feeling?

·         What have you been thinking about?

·         What have you been feeling?

·         What is going on in your mind and heart right now?

These kinds of questions cause the individual to relate the body and the mind in a synchronized fashion. Our body is always trying to tell us something. We must learn to listen. When our mind gets carried away, we must slow down, pay attention and not let the seeds of limitation get a hold on our consciousness. Try disrupting the life-limiting seeds that come across your path. Find your freedom by remembering who you are and to whom you belong.
