My Awe

There are many names for the that which many of us think of as the sacred essence that is. God, Spirit, Life, Energy, Universe, Love, and on and on. Neville Goddard even said that another word for God is imagination. Well, I have a new word for that which animates my very being, and it is AWE. When I feel a sense of Awe and wonder, I believe in my heart that I am sensing the beautiful and powerful intelligence that creates all that is. Awe sings my soul. Awe takes my breath away. Awe is the glue that connects me with everything.

When I experience Awe, there is no room in me for judgment, fault-finding, and separation. The very experience is full-body, you know, kinda of like a delicious orgasm. When Awe is inspired, it is that moment where I open my mouth to exclaim my joy, but no sound can escape, and I believe that happens because it feels so complete in and of itself.

Awe is the sweet rainy mist of a warm summer day, it is the laugh of a baby, it is the spring as it returns, and nature wakes up to its beauty. Awe is that feeling I get when my grandchildren say, “Hey Nana, can I tell you something.” It doesn’t matter what they say, it only matters that I am included in their lives.

For me Awe is God, Love, Energy, Universe etc. Awe is the thing Itself, and the mechanism of co-creation. Awe is the beauty of Life itself. I receive from this Awe and I surrender all to this Awe. Awe is Life.
